Sixty Nine Club
“69 Club” screening, Q&A and leather competition
Saturday, 3rd April – 8PM, Zoom link to follow.
Now only a small handful of members, the Sixty Nine Club is Europe’s oldest social group for gay leathermen, founded in 1965 when homosexuality was illegal in Britain. Today the club’s last surviving older men show us why the Sixty Nine Club means so much to them through home movies and tales of debauchery, love and friendship.
South West Fetish Men (SWFM) invite you for a one-time only on-line screening of Rob Eagle’s short documentary “Sixty Nine Club”, followed by Q&A with the director and Jon Stockton, Mr Leather UK 2020. Rob is currently working on the feature length edit, so we’re getting Peeping Toms’ sneak peek special!
We’ve teamed up with F3WERKS to bring you some BDSM joy too. On 22nd March visit SWFM’s website and social media channels to find out what you need to do to win some of the F3WERKS leather goodies (support local)! The two lucky winners will be chosen by Rob Eagle and Jon Stockton themselves, and announced on the 3rd April after the screening and Q&A.
To heat things up, we’ll be releasing some exciting content made with Mr Leather UK, just for SWFM. Follow our channels not to miss out. Links at the bottom. (No pun intended :P)
So, fix yourself your favourite drink, put the best leather on (or whatever else that floats your boat), and join us for what seems to be one final push before we can all be pigs in public again. Oink!
“Sixty Nine Club” (Teaser)
Rob Eagle is a Bristol-based documentary film-maker and digital artist. His photos and films have appeared across international media, including the New York Times, the Guardian, Al Jazeera and the BBC. His latest short film screening at festivals in 2021 is ‘OINK!’, a portrait of gay men who label themselves as “pigs” and describe their experiences of identity, masculinity, community, belonging, sexual pleasure and intimacy. Rob has shot and edited several short films on queer British history.
Jon Stockton – Mr Leather UK 2020
Growing up in a small city in the west of England, Jon knew from an early age the impact a strong image, a look, could have. The factors that have motivated Jon to become involved and active within the leather community are the ones that he aims to promote and encourage most, across not only the leather, but within the broader fetish communities, that of FRIENDSHIP, INCLUSIVITY, LOVE and FUN….or ‘F.I.L.F’. Through positive support, visibility and communication.
F3WERKS was created with the idea to offer stylish BDSM toys based on sensible prices. All of their toys are handmade in Bristol, UK. Where they can, they seek to use materials that are sustainable and ethical.
South West Fetish Men (SWFM)
South West Fetish Men (SWFM) is a social group located in the South West of England and primarily based in Bristol. We like to dress leather, rubber, denim, uniforms and more, act kinky and meet other like-minded people. Our primary goal is to unite fetish kinksters from all walks of life and ultimately create a community where all people can feel safe and secure. The group was created in March 2020, which proved to be quite a bad timing. With your help, we want South West out and about again, and back on the UK’s fetish map.
